« … » The Carbon Rush, which, in a nutshell, shows the impact of the carbon offset market, on the people who are being directly affected. I am prouder than I could have possibly imagined with the results, which is relieving because it has essentially been what I have been doing non stop since December 2009. I was profoundly disturbed by what was shared with me by the folks in the film and have felt an urgent need to have their stories ‘get out there’ ever since. I am very excited that the film is set to be released in theatres across Canada in the summer of 2012 and as dates and locations become clearer news will be released on The Carbon Rush website. As a huge boost to the film, a beautiful photo essay book of The Carbon Rush will also be released during the summer. It is not simply an ethical issue of ‘us’ paying ‘someone else’ to go on our carbon diet, the carbon market is truly destroying the livelihoods of people all over the world.
